okay. no more. now for myanmar:D let's talk about hair first. i went there with a head of dry grass, and came back with a mass of parched hay. yes, the weather in myanmar is very very dry. and hot too. the morning and evenings are cool, but the day is like 36 degrees celcius. anyway, this trip was a uncle-aunty trip. so it's not that exciting la.

money. one note is 1000 kyats= U.S$1=$1.40. shiok right!

seafood dinner:D

mrs chou.
yeah. we went to this pagoda place. the whole place's made of gold, so it's super magnificent. and grand. it's basically beautiful, but everywhere we went we had to take off our shoes.

tour guide jimmy.

i look dopey.
!!! hyper important:D look at THE CHICK. OMG, cousin of handsome chick!

so you see, their still very backward. according to fellow uncles and aunties, yangon (capital of myanmar) is like Singapore 30-40 years ago. imagine, they till have the koolie system, under the scorching sun of 36 degrees celcius. i am so fortunate.
cool menu. read the second line.
fruit market. uncles and aunties on the trip were overly obsesed with fruits. we went to the marketplace to buy fruits EVERYDAY. but then again fruits are good for letting out waste, and the fruits there are reaaaaaaally good. and if you notice the girl's face, there's some whitish stuff. it's their perfume cum sunblock made from tree bark and everyone, including guys, use it there.

CAUGHT! durian:D
this's their chinatown. very sad place. there's alot of people from 5 to 55 begging on the streets. then there was this guy, probably 40 years old. he was sitting in the middle of the road and his left foot was rotting so badly there was a big hole, with flesh and worms. it's so sad la. and anyway that's the old fashioned ice cream van.

curtain of sausages.

roads. with 2 monks.

lobster sashimi:D
we went to another town, and stopped for a toilet brake. the minute our van door opened all the people rushed in, trying to sell things. sad.
that's public transport. everybody squashes into the truck and the others hang on outside, or on top.
spastic. burmese food.

yeah, that's all folks!
so.. myanmar is a sad place. the rich are extremely rich, the poor are devastatingly poor. fortunately our very nice host uncle frank belongs to the first category. thus we get lobster sashimi almost everyday:D and suckling pig, bamboo clams, prawns, fish OMG. i'm hungry. but yeah, it's a sad place. so... i'm very fortunate:D
MRS CHOU, GET WELL SOON:D

love, xiuhui
